1. Secure processing

Your DNA file is uploaded over HTTPS and stored with server-side encryption at rest. Analysis runs on dedicated infrastructure — your data is never shared with third parties for marketing, analytics, or AI training. The raw DNA and rendered report are the only things stored; no derived data, profiles, or identifiers are created.

2. What we collect

  • Raw DNA file — the file you upload. Used only to compute your polygenic risk scores. Deleted immediately after your full report finishes generating, or within 7 days for free-only uploads. See Section 3 for details.
  • Generated report — the markdown and HTML output of your analysis. Automatically deleted 30 days after upload.
  • Name / subject label (if provided) — displayed on your report for your convenience. Not used for any other purpose.
  • No email collected. The tokenized report link shown after upload is how you return to your report; save or bookmark it.

3. Automatic deletion

We keep your raw DNA file only as long as we actually need it:

  • Full (paid) reports: the raw DNA file is deleted automatically as soon as your full report finishes generating — typically within a few minutes of payment. We never need to re-read it.
  • Free-only uploads: the raw DNA file is kept for up to 7 days so you can upgrade to a full report without re-uploading. After that window it is automatically deleted.
  • Rendered reports are kept for 30 days from your original upload so you can revisit your tokenized report link.

There is no backup archive, no long-term storage, and no way to recover data after deletion.

4. Cookies and tracking

Genetic Psychiatric Insights does not use analytics tracking, advertising pixels, or fingerprinting scripts. The only cookie that may be set is a standard session cookie required for normal operation of the web application. No third-party cookies are used.

5. No advertising

This service does not display advertisements and does not share any user data with advertisers or data brokers.

6. Your rights

You can request early deletion of your data at any time by emailing [email protected]. If you are located in the European Union or European Economic Area (GDPR), California (CCPA/CPRA), or a jurisdiction with similar privacy rights, you may also request access to the raw data and report we hold for you. Because raw DNA files are deleted as soon as your full report finishes generating (or within 7 days for free-only uploads), rendered reports are deleted 30 days after upload, and nothing is ever shared with third parties, most data-subject rights are satisfied by default.

7. Genetic information

In the United States, the Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act (GINA) prohibits employers and most health insurers from using genetic information in hiring, firing, or underwriting decisions. GINA does not cover life insurance, disability insurance, or long-term care insurance. Consider these protections before sharing your DNA file or generated reports with third parties.

8. Contact

For privacy questions or data requests, email [email protected].
